Yankee Candle Wax
How can I retrieve the wick of a candle that has fallen below the wax?
I have a few Yankee candles that melted in storage from the heat and the wicks fell to the bottom, under the wax. Before I go and do something dumber than crap…does anyone know how I can get the wicks back without cutting the candle all to heck. I thought about boiling some water and placing the candle just inside the water…but it’s glass so I thought it might shatter. Microwave?
Place the candles in hot water until the wax is all in liquid form. then pull the wick up with a long wooden skewer stick or the like and tie it up so it stays above wax level. If the wick cannot be stretched long enuf simply dump a little wax out into another old candle and you can enjoy the quality paraffin scent in a cheap candle. Boun chance…
