Question about large jars of Yankee Candles?
Maybe this is dumb question, but on the large jars of Yankee Candles, is it safe to turn the jars upside down when lighting them? LIke when the jars are only half full of wax, it’s difficult to light the wick with a match. If I turn the jar upside down to light it, I wondered if the heat from the match might cause the glass jar to explode. What tricks do people use to light candles when the wax gets lower in the glass jar?

I use BB-Que lighters. They are really long and reach way down inside of the jar. They are also really cheap. I but mine at the dollar store. Hope that helps some.
Use a torch lighter. You know, one of those long lighters. And don’t burn it all the way to the bottom. It becomes dangerous to burn it too low. You should toss it when it gets about 2 inches from the glass.
No, it won’t explode. I use an incense stick that’s still on fire to light my candles when they’re half used. You could also buy one of those really long lighters. Wal-Mart sells them for a few bucks. One other thing would be to take a piece of paper towel, twist it up and use it to light your candle. It stinks for a second, but it works.
We don’t use matches for anything but rather electric long handled lighters. They are the best to light anything. But I refuse to buy Yankee Candles any longer as they have a high soot content and ruin the walls and the house. Until Yankee figures out how to knock down their soot content, I wouldn’t and haven’t owned one for many years. Their candles destory homes.
I use long fire place match’s and also barbecue lighter, they both work.
